You can listen to some of our cheerful, child friendly lessons here.
Let's learn the 3x table.
Here are four lessons from our 20 lesson programme, plus the introduction that plays before the first ever lesson.
On your first ever call from Talking Times Tables, you'll hear me explain how the programme works.
You can listen to that message here:
When the explanation finishes, the lesson you have selected in your control panel will begin.
The first 12 lessons focus on learning the three times table.
You can listen to the first two below, and see the accompanying worksheets.
When you've had a good go at memorising the chant, it's time to learn how to use that chant to answer multiplication questions.
So the next set of lessons show children how 'singing the question' can get them to the answer. And of course, we practise the whole times table every day too.
You can listen to a couple of 'recall' lessons below.
Then we focus on getting from a spoken question 'what is nine times three' to a sing-song answer 'nine threes are twenty seven'. Again repeating the whole times table every day.
After 20 lessons, you should be able to rattle through the three times table in no time at all, and answer questions asked in a random order.
It's a relief to delegate all responsibility for remembering to practise, tracking where you're up to, and pacing your lessons, to the Talking Times Tables system.
(Which frees up a bit of head space for deciding what's for tea, calling your children by the right names <ahem>, remembering which way is up, and the million other things that are jostling for position in your brain.)
Plus, you'll see your child's confidence grow by the day as they realise they're finally memorising their times tables!
